Healing is a Journey

Healing is a process, and for some it may be a struggle. We believe that there is beauty in the struggle. At Sisters Heal Counseling and Consulting, we are firm believers that you hold the potential within to become the best version of yourself. We provide culturally competent services to all! We want to extend a hand to often overlooked populations, which are the children and families of those incarcerated. As individuals who have seen the effects of incarceration first-hand, we want to be the change and offer our assistance and expertise.

As a clinician, I utilize a person-centered approach during ​sessions. I believe that we all possess the capacity for ​growth and change. I will act as a guide to motivate and ​empower you throughout this journey.

In addition to 7 years of mental health experience, I hold ​a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from The ​Illustrious North Carolina Agricultural and Technical ​State University and a Masters in Clinical Mental Health ​Counseling from NCAT as well.

I specialize in anxiety, self-esteem, life changes, and ​depression. As an African American, I recognize the ​importance of representation in counseling. I have an ​interest in working with minorities and people of color to ​assist with doing away with the stigma behind counseling ​in our community.

Nia Brown


COO, Social Worker


My name is Nia Brown. I graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work from Illustrious North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. I have worked in several mental and behavioral health facilities and settings during undergrad with multiple populations. Some of these populations include substance abuse services, refugees, asylees, victims of domestic violence, sexual abuse victims, and human trafficking victims.

I currently work as a foster care and adoption social worker. I dream to work with children and young adults with incarcerated or formally incarcerated parents. I’ve abetted individuals and families to work through some of their trauma through coping skills, healthy boundaries, opened communication, and more. I am currently pursuing my MSW. I look forward to serving those interested in our services!

India Daniels

India Daniels is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health ​Counselor Associate in the state of North Carolina. India ​works with children, teenagers, and adults. She is client-​focused and passionate about working with youth and ​populations that are underprivileged. For approximately ​five years India has worked in the mental health field ​within the private practice, non-profit, and school ​settings. Throughout the years India has gained rich ​experience with providing services to individuals who ​have encountered mental health disorders such as ​anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, ​and behavioral challenges.

India utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-​Centered, Solution- Focused Therapy, Emotion- Focused ​Therapy, Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy and Reality ​Therapy. India often incorporates Christian Faith ​approaches in her practice when requested by clients’.

India is committed to creating a safe space that ​encompasses trust, respect, compassion, growth and ​healing. She believes that in order to spark change the ​client must be allowed to bring their authentic self to ​each session with special consideration to their physical, ​mental, emotional, and spiritual being.

Rates

$200- $15

Do we accept insurance?

We currently accept Medicaid, BCBS, Aetna and MedCost.

What is the cost of group sessions?

Family and group sessions are billed the same as inidivual sessions. Group sessions for the children of incarcerated parents, and group sessions for individuals readjusting to society after long term incarceration, are billed at $15/person every group session. Group sessions for these specific populations will be held biweekly.

What is the cost of public speaking?

We provide mental health education in a public group setting, while utilizing persuasive, informative, and demonstrative speaking. At a rate of $200/hour, we offer 4 hours max. We do travel outside of Greensboro, NC which will include a travel fee. All public speaking bookings require a non-refundable deposit of $100.

What is the self-pay rate?

We offer a self-pay rate of $100/session. The initial assessment is billed at a rate of $150. We offer a sliding scale ​based upon income and we accept payment plans as well.

We accept most Credit and Debit cards, Cash, ApplePay, Zelle, and Paypal as current forms of payment.

Cancellation Policy

Any appointment canceled or rescheduled within 24 hours of your original appointment time or any missed ​appointment will be subject to a $100 fee. Emergencies and technological errors may be excluded from this fee.
